i had my 40th here and it was great. kerry managed the event and was really helpful, everything was explained at a planning meeting up front and the staff were friendly. they recommended tasty affair who bent over backwards to provide what i wanted included hot chips during the evening (although i declined the wall decorations as they were quite expensive), and the disco they recommended, Carl was second to none.

I have recently used the north cheam sports and social club for my wedding and would have to DISAGREE totally with Jamie M's comments. To begin with I was made very aware of all the details(i.e bar staff, door security, opening and leaving times) after a lenghty conversation with Sue who also informed me about having to use tastyaffair (who were fantastic by the way) and about my £100 being used as a surety rather than a deposit. I asked that the hall be ready for us the day before the wedding as we would be coming in early morning to decorate. the tables and chair covers were all in place and although the club wasnt open Sue had no problems with us coming in early to set up. When we arrived back from the wedding the Hall looked beautiful and the bar staff were ready to serve us. And Tom had even written our initials in a love heart with the champagne glasses for our toast. the food was wonderful and paul was extremely helpful. the bar staff and all the team were very friendly and i would definately use the venue in the future. Me and my wife had the best day of our lives. Thankyou to Sue, Tom and all the staff.

We have just had our engagement party in the big hall at the back of North Cheam Sports & Social Club and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Firstly we were quoted a price of £500 all inc. Only to turn up once confirming the booking to pay for the hall, to then be told by somebody else that we needed to pay a further £100. We were also not informed by them until after we had paid for the hall that we have to use their caterers (tastyaffair.com, who said we would need to spend a minimum of £350 for any order to be processed) Altogether we paid £500 for the hall, £100 insurance cover and £350 for the food (Mini sausages, sandwiches, chicken strips, general buffet which would feed only 50 people). The £100 we would get back after the party. The £500 we were told included set up of the hall (tables & chairs how we wanted it set up), 3 bar staff and 2 bouncers on our door. We turned on the day to decorate the hall to find not all of the tables had been set up, table cloths were not put on the tables and that none of the chairs were put out, we had to do this ourselves. When we were there early afternoon (12:30pm) it was very cold in the hall and we were assured that the heating had just been put on, so the hall would be warm come the evening. When we arrived at 7:30pm the hall was still freezing cold as the heating had not been put on. A different member of staff then said the hall would get too hot!!!!! During the night we only had 2 bar staff and not 3, members of our party had to wait over half an hour for a drink. The food was not laid out until 10:30pm after having to ask where the food was and when would it be put out. Members of staff working that night were heard saying they would be trying to steal food when it came out and were then seen taking food from our selection. I would never recommend anyone use this venue for any occasion or their caterers tastyaffair.com, the whole occasion was very stressful and everyone who worked there was extremely unhelpful. We had our Wedding Reception here and it couldnt have gone any better. Kerry was BRILLIANT and made sure that it went with no hiccups. The food and the hall decoration done by Paul was EXCELLENT. Loads of people commented on how good the food was for the main sit down meal - then for the evening buffet there was just so much there and it was TREMENDOUS. The waiters and waitresses were also very good and friendly. Rosmary made a STUNNING cake and the swags were good to. All in all between them all they contributed in making it the HAPPIEST day of our lives. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ALL.

Me and my husband Paul had our wedding reception here. The staff were really helpful and very kind, the caterer Paul is excellent and will do all he can to make your day perfect. The hall was dressed beautifully and i am now thinking of having my birthday do there!
